Social Grading in Pokemon:Pokemon Project

The NRS tells us data on the difference in people’s social grade, it is recorded from adults aged 15 and above. People use the information provided by the NRS to  advertise things, this is done by finding out what is the best person to advertise to is and where they are more likely to come across it. A good example of this is in magazines, first the NRS will easily divide them into their different grades these are categorised by A, B, C1, C2, D and E. They will then be asked information such as what magazines they read and this will be shown to advertisers who will be able to tell what the majority of the class read and be able to tell what would be a good place to advertise their product. Pokemon is hard to tell what class pokemon is aimed at as the NRS only record data from those 15 and above, this would prove difficult to for the creators of pokemon to find out any information as it is aimed at those as young as 10. I would assume that it would be aimed at those up to class B down to D, pokemon are released as pretty expensive games to begin with so I wouldn’t expect them to be aimed at anyone lower than D. Also I don't expect them to advertise to anyone above B as it is less likely to appeal to them as pokemon does not provide any intellectual knowledge.
Although Pokemon is aimed at kids this information will be slightly relevant to Nintendo as it allows them to advertise to the parents of the children as well. This means that the adverts they use will have to appeal to the children as well as slightly to the parents, this is also the same for the genders, they need to make it so that both male and female are interested in it.
