Broadband is the most common type of internet access as it uses the telephone cable, it is able to work at high speeds as the analogue line is changed to a digital line. If you look into subscribing to an ADSL line you will be given a higher download speed compared to the upload speed, this is because the ADSL line is set so that information arrives at your computer faster than you can upload it. There are a lot of good points about using a ADSL line and one of them is that using it does not effect you phone line so you can use both at the same time. This is the most popular type of internet service provided as it is used by 99% of homes and businesses across the UK.
Good - but what experience have you had with Broadband - do you think it is reliable?
ReplyDeleteI think this is what we have at home and being linked up to the modem allow a lot faster internet access than when you have to link up to it wirelessly. Its pretty reliable so long as you use cables to link with the modem otherwise with wireless it tends to crash a lot.
