Last Lesson....Again

Today we had to do our evaluation, this consisted of a group and an individual evaluation. We had already done a paragraphs worth of and individual review so we decided that that would be alright as our individual review because there wasn't really much more we could add to it. Today I wrote out the evaluation whilst the others gave me their views to add to it and check what I had wrote to make sure that they agreed with it, we printed it out and that was the final part of our project production file so we were ready to hand it in today.

Complete

Today in Jackies lesson we checked what we had to do and found that really all the work had been done, so Zoe made a questionnaire and I when on photoshop and made a banner for my blog, I found the first version of photoshop frustrating because the buttons kept changing what they were doing, in the end I managed to complete one, it was pretty simple to do at the end but I found that the image was to small so the banner is at the side on my posts. Once I'd done this I sat with Zoe and Louis and they got a few people to answer the questions about the Website so that we can include feedback in the production file.

Extension

Today was a difficult lesson as we found it hard to find stuff to do as we had done all the written work we needed to do, Julian looked over our production file and we changed it according to what he said needed changing and tried to add in what he said was missing.

Last lesson

Today we had our last lesson on the project, we hoped to complete the project so that we wouldn't have to worry about it over the weekend, me and Zoe managed to complete the paperwork and spend some of our free time organising it in to the correct order and print off any new work. All that was left was the website and adding the videos to it.

Last lesson with Julian

Today we had our last lesson with Julian, I went out with Zoe to take some pictures for the location reece. We've managed to start tying up the loose ends of the production file so it's difficult to find things to do. I sent Zoe a screen shot of the email that she emailed me back so we can use both emails as our communication evidence. I also edited the budget sheet to show how much we ended up spending,  We have another lesson tomorrow with Jackie in which we need to do the treatment and the others need to write their review otherwise I won't have time to print it off. Me and Zoe are going to sort out the production file, adding in the sketches and the booking forms and putting things in the right place ect. This is so that we can check if anything is missing and what else we can add to it.

Emails and paperwork

Today we were trying to finish up all the paperwork, I sent an email to everyone asking whether they could write a review to add to the production file. Today Julian put up a list of what we needed to put in the production file, I highlighted what we had done on the list so that we could see what we still needed to do. Zoe also went over the paper work whilst Louis did the website and Josh sorted out the cut aways on the videos.

Undecided!!

This lesson since we were in Jackies room and Louis is mostly in charge of making the website I decided that it would be a good idea to make a page on all the changes we've made to the website idea since the beginning so that it's easier to understand why a lot of stuff is different to the actual website at the end. Zoe wrote up the location reece to add to our production file, Josh made a start on the treatment and Louis was able to continue with the website as he has flash on his laptop.

Although I feel like everyone has put the same amount of effort in to the project and worked hard in each lesson, it seems like there is still a lot to do before it will be finished. We're hoping that we will be able to complete it all in the rest of the lessons we have, which is about two/three if not I'm certain that everyone would be willing to come back another day on one of our days off for a few hours just to wrap up the loose ends.

Vector vs Bitmap!!

Both vector and bitmap are two different types of image files. Vector is used for simple images such as logo's and maps, these can be edited through things such as size whereas bitmap is better use for more detailed images such as photographs. Bitmap uses lots of different colours to make the images more detailed than a vector image, but due to this the main problem is that the size can't be adjusted without the image getting "Pixelated ".

What we've got so far!

Me and Zoe went to the LG in the break between our lesson to print off all the paper work that we had both done, since our main efforts were focused on the written side of the project and the boys were focusing more on the other work we both had most of the paper work between us. We were able to print off:
the budget,
the blogs page,
the front cover,
the buttons page,
the storyboard,
the schedule,
this is most of the paperwork required for the project, all we need  is for Josh to print off the proposal and for the whole group to meet up and write out the treatment.

Editing, re-editing and cut aways

Today I found out that Zoe and Louis came in on Friday in order to film some cut aways for the interviews that me and Zoe continued editing today, we looked over some of the videos that we had already edited to see where we could add the cut offs to make the video's more interesting to the viewers so that it wasn't all just talking and to provide more information. Josh is looking through the cut aways and Louis is working on the flash website.

More work

Today we had some time in Jackie's lesson to try and do some work and since we'd only had one other lesson this week it was a good time to put our heads down and try and do as much work as possible. Due to the fact that we didn't have access to flash and premier we had to do what ever we could find that needed doing. This lesson I managed to fill out a front cover for all of our written work, I included the units, the 3 assignments and the people in the group. Since this only took a few minutes I was also able to do a page with our blog addresses and write about what the blogs were for and how they helped us. Zoe updated her schedule of the lessons that we have done, and we started sending stuff through emails.

With the lack of lessons this week and half term last week it seems like we've hardly even started on the project so in the next couple of weeks there will probably be a lot of work.

Video Editing

Today me and Zoe started editing the videos that we had, taking out the pauses and any other unnecessary information that we didn't need. Louis did the photoshop mock up and started making the website whilst Josh also did video editing.
